Canceling a Vehicle Inspection

(Asset to be decommissioned)

PURPOSE:

Phases containing inspections for vehicles no longer in use shall be canceled. Asset Manager will decommission the actual vehicle asset in AiM.

 

PROCEDURE:

1. Navigate thru Vehicle Inspection Work Order Phase and click on the Inspection link
2. Click Edit on the Inspection screen and change the status to “Canceled” and click Save.

 

 

 

3. Return to previous screen, click Edit on the Phase screen, change the status to “Canceled” and click Save button.

 

 

 

4. Return to previous screen, click Edit on the Work Order screen, change the status to “Canceled” and click Save to save the record.

 

 

 

5. Notify Bob Healy, the Asset Manager about this action. He will decommission the vehicle asset in AiM.

ROLES USED:

  1. Vehicle Inspection Admin is responsible for overseeing Vehicle Inspections, updating inspection, phase and work order statuses when Vehicle gets decommissioned.
  2. Asset Manager is responsible to assist the Vehicle Inspection Admin with the Vehicle decommissioning process.
  3. System Administrator is responsible for maintaining the Vehicle Inspection configuration and functionality.
